The First Annual NASA/JPL Small Business Symposium & Awards Ceremony will be held in Washington D.C on November 17-18, 2008.

The symposium provides a forum for attendees to learn about NASA/JPL plans for future missions in space and Earth Science, including associated programs, initiatives, and business and/or teaming opportunities. Attendees will learn about the skills, resources, and technologies needed to achieve the agency's missions, programs and research.
Business-to-business networking with NASA, JPL and prime contractors will be the objective throughout the two-day event.
This two-day event will culminate with the NASA Small Business Industry & Advocates Awards Ceremony.
SMALL BUSINESS INDUSTRY & ADVOCATES AWARDS

The NASA Small Business Awards will recognize outstanding contributions made by NASA employees as well as industry representatives in support of the agency's small business program.
Small Business Industry Awards (SBIA) will be made in three categories:
- Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year
- Large Business Prime Contractor of the Year
- Small Business Subcontractor of the Year
Small Business Advocates Awards (SBAA) will be made in four categories:
- Small Business Specialist of the Year
- Technical person (or Team) of the Year
- Procurement Person (or Team) of the Year
- Program Person (or Team) of the Year
